Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University
It was established on 1 December 1973 as Garhwal University In 1989. In 1989 is was renamed as Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhawal University. In 2009 it became a Central University. The Academic Council is Principal academic body of the University and exercise general supervion over the academic policies of the University
